The focus on the different instruments, giving each equal times of attention, made a class of emotions. I liked this part the most because of the roller coaster of emotions. The melody gave a sad, tragic and sometimes scary feeling which was reinforced by the poem Das Trinklied vom Jammer. The harmony, which I observed had longer and more dragging notes, was matched with the sad poem to create despair. The slower tempo I felt was intended to fork over a sinking feeling. The start was with a more calm yet sad which was slowly strengthened up to give the intense hurt. This hurt was better felt because of the stress the sudden change in dynamics. It was a different feeling than that of Le Matin but I say of equal beauty.
